About Social Fiesta
Social Fiesta is a two-person editorial desk that reads Australian sportsbook terms so you do not have to. We publish market explainers and operator write-ups for readers in Australia, and we publish the reasoning behind every rating rather than just the number.
What is actually on this site
Four things, and nothing else:
- Market explainers — decimal odds, Asian handicap lines, in-play timing, and how each behaves on Australian books.
- Sport-specific pages — A-League and European football, Super Rugby and internationals, NBL and NBA windows.
- Operator write-ups — currently Sportsbet, Unibet Australia, and Fatbet. Three, because three is what we can keep current.
- Licence and safer-gambling reference — which state authority licenses whom, and where to get help.
How we rate an operator
We do not average six equal scores. Licensing is a gate, not a criterion — an operator without a verifiable Australian state or territory licence is not listed at any rating. Everything else is weighted:
- Withdrawal behaviour (30%) — documented payout windows, verification friction, and whether the stated method actually returns funds by the stated date.
- Promotion terms (25%) — turnover multiples, minimum odds, expiry windows, and how much of the headline number is reachable in practice.
- Market depth and pricing (20%) — how the book prices lines we can compare against the market, not just how many markets it advertises.
- Dispute pathway (15%) — whether a complaint reaches a named person, and whether the escalation route to the regulator is published.
- Safer-gambling tooling (10%) — deposit and loss limits, session reminders, and how many clicks self-exclusion takes.
What we do not do
We do not sell tips, run a Telegram channel, publish predictions, or take a cut of anybody's losses. We hold no licence, accept no wagers, and hold no customer funds. If a page ever reads like a tip sheet, it is a drafting failure and we want to hear about it.
Review cadence and staleness
Promotion terms move fastest, so operator pages get re-checked against the operator's own terms page each month. Market explainers change rarely and are reviewed twice a year. Every page carries the date it was last touched; if a page looks stale to you, it probably is, and the operator's own terms win over anything we wrote.
Corrections
Email a correction to [email protected] with the page and the line. Factual errors get fixed on the page rather than quietly overwritten, and we will say what changed. We do not remove a negative finding because an operator asked.
How this is paid for
Affiliate commission. When you register with an operator through a link here, we may be paid for that signup. That is our only revenue, and it creates an obvious pull toward operators that pay more — so the weightings above exist to be argued with. Commercial terms do not buy a rating, a position, or the removal of a criticism, and no operator sees a write-up before it publishes.
